New York Now Has The Highest Cigarette Tax As Rates Stay Flat In Most States

As of Sept. 1, the cigarette tax in New York State increased by $1.00 per pack of 20 cigarettes, from $4.35 to $5.35. Most states, however, are keeping rates flat.
